Ibrahim Sekagya has announced his retirement. The defender did not have his contract renewed after last season, but has been in camp this preseason, hoping to land a new deal.

According to Uganda's New Vision, he has been offered a coaching position with the RBNY reserve team.

Sekagya will forever be remembered for the awful pass that led to a goal in the soul-crushing playoff loss to Houston in 2013. Two weeks prior, he scored the goal-ahead goal in the 5:2 victory over Chicago that clinched the Supporters Shield.
