Alfredo Pacheco, who played for Metro in 2009, has died. The defender was killed earlier today.

According to ElSalvador.com, Pacheco was gunned down at 4 AM this morning, while shopping at a gas station with his friends.

Pacheco played 16 games for RBNY in 2009, while on loan from FAS. He was the all-time cap leader for the El Salvadorean national team, but was banned for life for soccer in 2013 for alleged match fixing.

Pacheco was 33 years old.
