Anatole Abang, whose playing time has dwindled to nothing in the summer months, has been loaned out to Hobro IK of the Danish second division for a year. The loan will extend into next summer, with Abang under MLS contract through the duration.

"We came in dialogue with New York Red Bulls via Anatole Abang's agent and his Danish scout. It's not every day you get the opportunity to acquire a Cameroonian national team player, so we are pleased that we have now made a deal that certainly comes with mutual benefit," said Hobro sporting director Jens Hammer Sorensen.
