Amando Moreno, who abruptly left the club four years ago, could be returning. According to Kristian Dyer, the one-time academy graduate "and the Red Bulls have reached a deal to bring the young forward back to MLS".

After leaving Metro, Moreno has struggled for playing time with Tijuana, appearing in only four league matches. The past year, he has been on loan to Dorados in the Mexican second tier.

Moreno originally signed a homegrown deal in December of 2012, but only spent a year on the team. He played two garbage minutes in MLS and one full 90 in an Open Cup match.
