New York Red Bulls II returned to MSU Soccer Park after the venue underwent renovations with a 4-2 win over Charlotte Independence Saturday night. NYRB II played their first six home matches at Red Bull Arena.
After making his USL pro debut last week against Cincinnati, Red Bulls Academy U-19 defender Jordan Bailon made his first career USL start.
Charlotte opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a goal scored by Cordell Cato.
NYRB II responded one minute later with a goal of their own from Amando Moreno, assisted by Jared Stroud. It was Moreno's team-leading sixth goal of the year.
Cristian Casseres Jr. scored his first goal of the season from a penalty kick in the 60th minute.
Less than a minute later, Andrew Tinari scored a goal seconds after entering the match. He was assisted by Stroud, who recorded his second assist of the game and seventh of the season.
Another NYRB II goal in the 74th minute from Lucas Stauffer, who recorded his first goal of the season and first pro goal.
Charlotte scored their second goal from the penalty spot in the 86th minute.
