Could Matthew Olosunde return?
July 2, 2018
RBNY youth product Matthew Olosunde could be returning to the big club, reports Kristian Dyer. "A loan deal or perhaps even a permanent move could be in the works," he writes in The Atlantic. The right back signed with Manchester United in 2016, but has not appeared for the first team.
Olosunde, 20, played in the RBNY academy, as well as for the Metro reserves in the pre-USL days of 2014. He was Tyler Adams' teammate at the 2015 U-17 World Cup, and is now a full US international, after appearing for the US against Bolivia in May.
There were whispers of RBNY's potential interest in Olosunde earlier this year, after Kyle Duncan was lost for the season after tearing his ACL. Coincidentally, Duncan was the first academy product to sign overseas only to make his Metro return.
