When MLS changed its playoff format for this season, the switch to one-and-out games put a huge emphasis on getting the higher seed and the home field advantage that comes with it. So, coming into the penultimate regular season game against DC Scum with the playoffs already clinched, Metro zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sorry, drifted off there for a moment. Metro needed a win to leapfrog DC into fourth. A loss would guarantee they will not host a playoff game. A tie zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Metro earned its third straight shutout, holding DC without a single shot on goal. But it was the Scum that celebrated like they won, knowing that they kept their advantage of Metro in the standings. So, headed into the season's last game zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Lineup: Robles, Lawrence, Long, Parker, Duncan, Casseres, Rzatkowski, Sims, Romero Gamarra, Royer, Barlow. Subs: Wright-Phillips, Fernandez, Muyl.
