Real Monarchs SLC and New York Red Bulls II played to a 0-0 draw on Sunday night at Zions Bank Stadium.
The first clear chance for the visitors came from the penalty spot as Real's Danny Flores was whistled for a handball on a free kick a minute before halftime. Mandela Egbo stepped up for the Red Bulls II, but his shot to the right corner was saved by Monarchs goalkeeper Jimmy Slayton to keep the game scoreless at the break.
Real was reduced to 10 men in second-half stoppage time, as Malik Johnson was shown a second yellow card, and the game ended scoreless as Red Bulls II were eliminated from playoff contention.
