New York Red Bulls II have signed forward O'Vonte Mullings to a USL Championship contract pending league and federation approval, the club announced today.

Mullings, 21, spent four years at Florida Gulf Coast University. He logged 4,697 minutes, 28 goals, and seven assists over 57 matches.

"O'Vonte is a great pick from the draft," Head Coach Gary Lewis said. "His speed is vital with the position he's playing. In terms of humility and being a good person, he fits the mold of what we're looking for.

Mullings was named the ASUN Player of the Year for the 2021 spring season, along with making the ASUN First Team and All-Tournament Team. He also was a unanimous selection to the conference's First Team in 2019 and was named the ASUN Freshman of the Year in 2018.

"I'm happy to join this wonderful club," Mullings said. "I'm grateful for the opportunity from the staff and I can't wait to accomplish a lot this year with the players and get to work."

Mullings was selected 20th overall in the 2022 MLS SuperDraft by the New York Red Bulls.

"He has had an excellent preseason and looks very sharp both in training and in the games to this point.
