Kyle Duncan returns, again

The New York Red Bulls have acquired Brooklyn, NY native Kyle Duncan on a season long loan from K.V. Oostende with an option to buy pending the receipt of ITC, the club announced today. Duncan spent the end of 2022 on loan with the Red Bulls, where he made nine appearances and tallied one assist.

"We are very excited to have Kyle [Duncan] back at the club following his loan spell at the end of last season," said Sporting Director Denis Hamlett. "He knows the club very well and has had much success here, and we are looking forward to see him continue that this season."

Duncan, 25, spent six months of last season with K.V. Oostende before joining the Red Bulls on loan in August. He made seven appearances for the club and logged 532 minutes played for the Belgian side.

"Kyle [Duncan] has shown his qualities over the last couple years with us and has a lot of experience in MLS," said Head Coach Gerhard Struber. "We are happy to have him back with us."

The defender spent the previous four seasons with the Red Bulls. He has made a total of 81 MLS appearances and has contributed five goals and 11 assists for the club. In his last full season with New York, he made 32 appearances, which 27 of them were starts, and tallied one goals and two assists in 2021. Duncan was a member of the 2018 Supporters Shield winning team.
