The New York Red Bulls have signed New York Red Bulls II defender Omar Valencia to a short-term agreement, the club announced today. The player will be available for the Red Bulls' two MLS regular season matches this week. First against Charlotte FC tonight and then on Saturday, June 24 against Atlanta United FC.

Valencia, 19, has been with the New York Red Bulls II for the last two seasons on loan from C.D. Plaza Amador. The defender has made 10 career appearances for NYRB II, while making eight starts and recording one assist. Valencia made his debut for the Panamanian National Team on June 11, 2022, in a friendly against Uruguay.
