New York Red Bulls II defeated Columbus Crew 2, 5-0 at Crew Stadium on Sunday night.

New York opened the scoring in the ninth minute, when Wiki Carmona notched his fifth goal of the season thanks to a feed from Frank Ssebuufu.

Ssebuufu managed to grab a goal of his own in the 44th minute, when a saved shot from Ronald Donkor rolled across an open goal mouth for the Ugandan striker to double the lead.

New York continued their barrage of goals in the 61st minute, when defender Matt Nocita headed a loose ball home for the three-goal advantage. Nocita's goal was the first of his professional career.

Just three minutes later, Ibrahim Kasule added to the tally with a goal of his own off a beautiful feed from Omar Valencia. The goal from Kasule was his club leading 11th of the season, all of which coming within the past 13 matches.

The last goal of the match would also come from New York, this time from Mohammed Sofo who found a loose ball courtesy of Matt Nocita and smashed it into the back of the net. Sofo's goal was his first of the season.
