Metro opened its preseason with a game against Florida Gulf Coast University, beating the collegians 6:0. Julian Hall opened the scoring and Dante Vanzeir added a first-half brace. After the break, Mohammed Sofo, a RBNY II player, put Metro up four, and Elias Manoel got the final two to set the margin.
Non-rostered played involved included Ibrahim Kasule, Aidan O'Connor, Sofo, and Omar Valencia.
