Dylan Nealis signed to contract extension

The New York Red Bulls have signed Massapequa, NY native Dylan Nealis to a new MLS contract, the club announced today. Nealis signed a new three-year MLS contract through 2027 with an option for 2028.
"We are very excited to keep Dylan [Nealis] at the club for the long-term," said Head of Sport Jochen Schneider. "Dylan has enjoyed a great start to the season and has showcased to be a very important member of our roster."
Nealis, 25, is in his third season with the Red Bulls after joining the club via trade from Nashville SC on December 15, 2021. The defender has made 57 career MLS appearances with New York, where he has recorded five assists. In 2024, Nealis has made 10 appearances, where he as totaled 737 minutes played and one assist, which includes an assist against his former club, Inter Miami CF on March 23.
"Dylan has been an important member of our backline this season," said Head Coach Sandro Schwarz. "He has proven to be a leader in our group, and we are happy to keep him on our roster for the years to come."
Prior to New York, Nealis made 23 MLS appearances combined between stints at Nashville SC and Inter Miami CF. Before being selected No. 3 overall in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft, he was four-year letterman at Georgetown University. He captained the Hoyas for two seasons and led them to win the 2019 NCAA College Cup title. Nealis was a two-time Big East Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and 2019.
