How much is a supposed phenom who hasn't played a minute of first-team soccer worth? Not that much, apparently. According to The Athletic and confirmed by multiple sources, RBNY is on the brink of selling Bento Estrela to Sporting Lisbon. Well, not really selling. They will let him go on a free but retain a sell-on fee.

Estrela became the youngest signee in team history, when he signed in 2021 a day before his 15th birthday. However, he has not played a single minute, instead spending the majority of his time with RBNY II, a lot of it injured. Apparently, the goal was always to sell Estrela, who holds a Portuguese passport, to Europe, once he turned 18. Well, he has turned 18... and will now be sold. Well, "sold".
