Former MetroStar Dahir Mohammed passed away on Wednesday. He was 51.

The Ethiopian-born Mohammed came to the United States at a young age and earned caps for the US U-23 national team. He played three games for Metro in 2000, on loan from the Long Island Rough Riders. Mohammed also played for New England and the Staten Island Vipers.
